Syukur, AlhamduLiLLAH, for the opportunity to still
serve in this temporal life ...
1 Muharram ... Hampir saja berselimut putih suami
dan isteri ... dan sebuah van yang sarat dengan pelajar muda dan cikgunya yang
memandu.
We were on the main road going east... a van was
also on the main road going west heading into an exit on the right...
Without warning the van veered fast right in front
of us and husband put on instant brake ... and wife slid forward towards the
dashboard almost down on the floor ... apa lagi tak pakai seat belt lah tu...
it was a close call for a regular newspaper item
...
AlhamduLILLAH syukur Allah SWT masih memberi
peluang untuk insafkan diri ... that life ... hanya pinjaman.
nak jadi cerita lagi ... i was extremely angry at
the speed of the driver crossing us ... i am a girl but selalulah juga
kena tegur that i ni macam anak jantan ... anak perempuan nsembilan memang
macam tu agaknya .. :) sangat sabar, sangat pemaaf, tetapi jangan sekali dianiya
... macam tu lah ye kawan-kawan ... :)
so dengan hotnya ... (syukur selamat) ... tetapi
teramatlah juga marahnya dengan oghang yang bawak van tu ... i said to suami
follow him ... i want to say something ... kenapa dia tak berhenti and say
sorry for the stupid thing he has done ...
van was away fast but that exit led to a dead end
so as we followed, the van made a u-turn and as they were passing us, i asked
husband to wave them to stop ...
takkk mau stop ... lagi laju ... but i could see
the van was a government vehicle with the name of a state school somewhere in
Perlis written across it ... lagiii lah tak suka cara ni ...
I said to husband, follow on ... if they don't stop
i will call the ministry and report their behaviour ...
they are lost probably ... but that should not
excuse them ... with pack of students in that van ... who so ever is driving is
irresponsible ...
Pendekkan cerite kami ikut ... trafic light merah
... dua-dua berhenti ... the students were peering at us ... they understood
that we want them to stop ... but again on green they sped ahead ... ish geramm
i said ... ikut lagi (tak ada please, please dah
ni) ...
Finally, they must have realised that we were not
going to disappear, they moved to the side and stopped ... and we stopped ahead
of them ... we came down (macam gangster pula bunyi nya kann ... but
truth be told, i had on jubah with hijab ... kecik je about 5 feet ... husband
alhamduLILLAH berjanggut bagai tapi alien lah wajahnya tu ...besar tinggi but
gentle je air mukanya ... tu sebab tak siapa takut pun ...:)
Kami approached the driver ... kesian pula
nampaknya ... gentle jugalah airmukanya ... tetapi dek marah saya cakap jugalah
marah saya (suami orang dari luar negara jadi isteri lah tukang lebih cakapnya)
...
He said ... He was sorry, he was sorry ... but he
was lost ... trying to find the way to a homestay which was supposed to be
around the area ...
but that does not excuse you from the kind of
things that you were doing ... driving dangerously with so many on board ... if
you are a teacher ... this is very very bad ... very bad ... it is lucky that
you stopped now ... otherwise we were definitely going to report you to the
ministry about your behaviour ... and such a shame for not stopping when we
resquested you ...
... dah reda marah ... kami offered to show them
the way ... but they said they are calling the homestay people ... meanwhile i
noticed his eyes were on the GPS trying to locate the place ... we guided them
the way and departed ... AlhamduLILLAH amicably ...
Lesson learned
1. don't forget to wear seat belt even for a short
ride ... husband was driving slowly ... even then I slid down on
emergency braking ...
2. I sensed the teacher was observing the GPS for
directions rather than observing the road ... and he was speeding at the same
time ...
3. The exit road and the main road appeared to be
one straight road when approached from the east going west ... and it is a
terrible junction that is waiting for tragedy ... na'uzubiLLAHi minzalik. ...
.... again syukur AlhamduLILLAH awal Muharram tidak
berakhir dengan tragedy ...
Ma'al Hijrah Mubarak ...
