... the ARGAN oil of Morocco ...
we first heard of argan from a Belgium acquaintance ...
he gave us a big bottle of it ... it is still there because we were quite ignorant of its use ...
he also gave us a scientific journal article on its benefits ...
and among others the article mentioned that traditionally ... the nuts are collected from the droppings of kambing because kambing suke makan daun dan argan fruits tu ...
then the nuts are cleaned and oil extracted using stone mill ... see illustration .
when we read that ... langsung hilang selera nak cuba guna oil tu ... which according to our friend is very good for skin care ...

but now the argan oil is produced commercially ... in plantations ... see illustration.

and it has been promoted so well in Malaysia ... and costs as much as its namesake ... well almost ...

ReplyDeleteBawah building ni Harris or penjaga bangunan gigih bercucuk tanam, tambah pulak during winter ni sng sgt segala benda nak hidup.
Jerjir (sejenis ulam yg sgt berkhasiat) hidup subur di dlm flower-pots.
Harris selalu pesan.. sesiapa yg nak, petik sahajalah (of course in Arabic).
Mmg sekali pandang, semua pun geram2 tp bila dikaji akan BAJA khas yg sedia ada di dlm flower-pots.. semua CANCEL.

ReplyDeleteMP pakai/makan argan oil. Bau dia cam bau peanut butter..heheh. Tak leh makan hehari macam olive oil sebab nanti kancing suasa uniform akan terberetas. Pakai kat muka jek. Kat badan cam sayang sayang sebab mahai..hehe.

DeleteBtw ... Argan oil is sold in Malaysia under jenama Pure Secret Oil ... bukan iklan ni ye ... just in case ade yang tetibe nak cari sebab MP manis gune ...:)
