On knowledge sharing and dissemination

... when circulating a working paper for comments, never put on "citations only permitted with the permission of author"

or "no parts of this paper can be used without permission of author". Rather, say "when using parts of this paper please give proper citation and help yourself". Be delighted if someone wants to quote you ... (p.7)

Tacit knowledge ... and epistemology

... heavy thought since yesterday ...

tacit knowledge ... ilmu dan kefahaman yang diperolehi melalui real experience ... yang terpendam di dalam dada dan kefahaman yang empunye diri ... we can also refer to it as implicit knowledge

contoh mudah ... emak masak sedap je ... tak ada explicit menu ... sodapppp yang amat juge ... she has tacit knowledge about how to make a particular dish special and different ... till the time she expressed this knowledge in verbal or written form ... this knowledge remains a tacit knowledge ...

tacit knowledge is lost with the passing of the knowledge holder ...

contoh mudah lagi ... traditionally orang kite mengambil kebaikan dari indigenous plants as part of our health management ... but most of the practitioners have not made explicit their knowledge and understanding of plants ... so knowledge itu pun hilang bersama kepergian pengamal perubatan tradisi tersebut ...

Contoh lain lagi ... macam MP sayang cerite pasal line checked ... MP ada tacit knowledge about line checked ... kawan-kawan kek maya ni melopong yo lah apo ko bondo eh line checked tu ... but once MP explained to us ... then MP's TACIT knowledge becomes OUR EXPLICIT knowledge.

this is an epistemological interest ... to people who have nothing better to do except menghabiskan masa poi mengocar ... oghang yang sibuk dengan perkara berkaitan dengan epistemology ni ... akan sibuk bertanye ... ni ha ... (tok sah baco ... buek poning yo ...:) tapi kalau ade pekdah eh silekan lah ... :)

Defined narrowly, epistemology is the study of knowledge and justified belief. As the study of knowledge, epistemology is concerned with the following questions: What are the necessary and sufficient conditions of knowledge? What are its sources? What is its structure, and what are its limits? As the study of justified belief, epistemology aims to answer questions such as: How we are to understand the concept of justification? What makes justified beliefs justified? Is justification internal or external to one's own mind? Understood more broadly, epistemology is about issues having to do with the creation and dissemination of knowledge in particular areas of inquiry.

banyak soal eh ...
makno eh ...

... kalau buleh dibincang kito bincang ... from Tacit knowledge to Explicit Knowledge ...

AlhamduLILLAH ... rengan sikit kopalo ...

Love and Salam

  3. Real;
apakah inih sama dengan pengertian kenapa orang tua tua cakap, janagan keluar waktu maghrib, kang disorok dek hantu? atau something similiar? Dan skg bu kita faham kenapa. Mana de hantu...waktu maghrib tu, yang muslim balik rumah solat dan zaman dedulu lampu jalan takdok> apakah macengitu>?? Atau mungkain memang hantu berkeliaran waktu tu sebab samnar samar?

Mak Piah cam faham faham idak nih.

    1. Sayang,

conclusion nye ...

... :)with love and affection for trying to understand ... :)

  4. Saya lama dok negeri omputeh ... Shouldn't feel scared or have fear to enter their thought process. They are very open and very receptive of questions we have. They too are sometimes intimidated by us. Everyone is afraid of the unknown. Treat them as equal not superior than us.

    1. Dear Anon

... thank you ... exactly ... they are as human as we are but our perception of their superiority is due to their world being couched in jargons ... many are open but some make even their own people uncomfortable ...

... but membiasakan culture bertanye among us ... that is the challenge ...
