one thing leads to another ... mulling spice

Assalamualaikum wbt ...

AlhamduliLLah syukur ... for a very fresh morning ...

it was drizzling throughout the night ...

rather chilly ...

i was at Sham's place ... and guess what ... i learned about "mulling spice"... here

CharmBraceletDiva

thus emerged a new code ...

aroma of life ... :)
(please see my open coding)

not to worry ... no secret coding this is ... it's just a reminder of the real work that i'm supposed to be involved in ... while taking off into this virtual world ...

now ... the mulling spice sounded great for warming up the senses ... i straight away simmered ...

orange pieces (which were drying in the refrigerator ... tak ada apple) ...
cinnamon sticks (kulit kayu manis)
cloves (cengkih)
star anise seed (bunga lawang)
water (biar banyak sikit ... i put half pot ... because saya selalu lupa bila periuk terjerang tu )

(ingredients - adjust accordingly ... banyak sikit ikut suka deria bau kita ye ...)

that was really great ... i turned it off when the aroma got slightly overpowering ... when the water was getting less ... this was good reminder of what's on the stove ...

nanti boleh cuba lain-lain combination juga ... including ... pandan ... kasturi ... lime ... serai wangi ... halia ...

bawang putih jangan ... hehe

    1. :) That was an excellent simple idea to scent a home. Usually I just use pure essential oils ... this method enables us to be more creative with our own local aromatics.

Thank you much for coming by :)

  2. Assalamualaikum REAL,
Ni la yg dikatakan nak skodeng lain.. lain pulak yg dapat.
Sham pun rajin gak skodeng rumah jiran kita yg sorang tu.
Byk idea yg blh kita dpt.. at least tak la bergantung sgt pd yg dh ready made.

Sekarang di Kuwait dah mula musim hujan.. tanda nak masuk winter.
Kalau ditambah dgn aroma yg "satu" tu.. makin sedap la tidur kami nnt.
    Insya'Allah.
