rain of experience ...

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
 اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh
Alhamdulillah syukur ...
AlhamduLillah syukur ... for imperfection completed ... since there's no way that we can obtain that perfect state ... less than perfect let you move on to the next step ... fill up the gaps as one moves along ... learn and relearn ... the only way to go ... alhamduLillah

alhamduLillah for the time to ponder and take a break ... for a short while ... so let me share a couple of stories ...

update on this below ... :)

more about this below :)

Story Satu

To EPRD Putrajaya yesterday, with sahabat sepengajian. Sampai-sampai about 10.00 am, straight to the library. And what do you know. Disambut oleh petugas-petugas with the news that the "library is closed for today". It's being used for a farewell function of a retiring Ketua. My immediate response was "InnaLillahiwainna ilaihi raji'un".

the petugas tercengang then tertawa ... then i explained ... kita sebut InnaliLlah bila kesusahan dan musibah ... ini kesusahanlah ni ... dah datang dari jauh ... tiba-tiba tutup pula ... sememangnya InnaLillahiwainna Ilaihi raji'un ...
later i realized why he ketawa ... that maybe ... just maybe ... petugas to fikir saya ucap for the outgoing ketua ...

Story Dua

on the way to EPRD, my friend who was driving, passed a gravel-loaded lorry. There was canvas over the load ... and it was not the first lorry that we passed that morning ...

but this one was different ... as we passed ... gravels rained over our car ... and once out of the downpour ... we saw a small crack at the corner of the windscreen ... InnaLillahiwainna ilaihi raji'un ... i used to have that PLUS number for assistance or to report trouble on the road ... but i've lost it somehow ... so we were way out in front when i finally was able to locate one by the highway and reported what happen, with details, registration number and location where it occurred ...

that done ... but immediately soon after someone called from 'SPAD?' (have to check this one out) to get more details from me ... it appears PLUS has referred my report to them ... among other things it is good to have some evidence when reporting - photo for example - especially if it involves claims ...

I explained - no we are not asking for compensation or anything ... we just want PLUS to do something to stop them so that it will not happen to others too ...

that done ... i turned to my friend and asked her ... did we read "doa berjalan" just now? she said yes ... that's why tak marah ni ... masyaAllah ... :)

~

now for PLUS users here's the emergency number ...

1 800 88 0000

take note of location when reporting to them ... those numbers indicating the kilometers by the side of the highway (yes ... semua orang tahu :) ... just in case jika ada yang tak perasan :)

our own experience ...

- a flat tyre ... we needed cover from the flying vehicles that passed close by
- red cones used during road construction lying in the middle of the lane ... in the middle of a blind night ... on the fastest lane
- and about other objects lying on the lane ...

it's a useful number ... so do retain it :)

I love google :) ...
anything in mind ... there's always an answer ... relevant or not that's another matter altogether ... and today i googled "rain stone" and I discovered "yuhua" the rain flower stone ... nice isn't it :)

update ... 1

  1. Assalamualaikum Hajah..
(Some how or rather).. I'm envying those people with the "Hajah or Haji" when coming to addressing people as such. My bad..

    Masya'Allah.. cantik cincin tu.
Batu akik.. semi precious stone.. cantik utk dibuat cincin kaum Adam.
How was it an irony.. org perempuan jarang pulak tertarik dengan batu akik ni.

Innalillah wa innalillahirajiun.. bukan sekadar dilafazkan utk si mati. As long as sebarang tanda "musibah", its practically sesuai dengan kalimah ini.

Begitu jugak dengan "masya'Allah". Actually it a bit odd bila tiap kali ada kemalangan.. ungkapan ini digunapakai walhal ia sepatutnya sebagai satu ucapan menunjukkan syukur kita.

    P/s;
Dulu Sham pun salah guna jugak all these words.

    1. Wa'alaikumussalam wbt Dear Sham :)

Aduh sweetnya ... lebar senyum si hjh ... Thank you Sham. Sebenarnya budaya Brunei yang saya terbawa-bawa tu ... almost every one there is a haji or hajah ... and i am terribly bad at recalling names ... it helped a lot ... because addressing somenone hj/hjh ... tuan hj/ pn hjh ... awang/dayang/dang ... will never get you wrong :)

agates atau batu akik dalam Bahasa Melayu yang baru saya tahu ejaannya tu (woi terukkk nya :) tu rupanya is very well known in mineral science ... and the best is from Yaman ... known in the western world as Yemeni Agates ... MasyaAllah. And in arabic spelled as 'aqiq ...

yes ... InnaLillahi wainna ilaihi raji'un ... untuk musibah, kesusahan, kehilangan ... kadang-kadang saya kena maklumkan pula pada yang mendengar kenapa saya ucap begitu supaya yang mendengar tidak salah faham :)

and satu lagi a good kakak yang bertugas dikementerian kesihatan brunei pernah shared her appreciation ... katanya - i appreciate di Brunei ini - apa saja yang mereka ingin mula buat tak tinggal ucapan "BismiLLAhirrahmanirrahim" ... nak angkat baby, nak letak baby dan sebagainya ...

      Terima kasih Sham :)
