i am a girl ... yes girl sangat lah makcik tu :) ... but hati like a boy tak mau duduk diam ... i am anak Negeri Sembilan but was born in Tg Karang ... one of Malaysia's important rice bowls ...
i am sure ramai yang maklum adat orang dulu bila anak lahir, the placenta (B.Melayu nya temuni/tembuni not too sure of the spelling and too listless to google :) selepas dibersihkan, di balut dengan kain, seterusnya ditanam ditempat yang sesuai disekitar pekarangan rumah ...

persekitaran rumah di Tg Karang tu ground water levelnya tinggi ... maklumlah sawah ... so abah pun tanamlah placenta hak saya tu dekat bund jalan ... because bund jalan di aras yang tinggi ...
fast forward many decades later ...
abah passed by the area dengan kawan baiknya ... and he told the friend the place where he has buried the placenta ... and kawannya kata ...

"Patutlah budak tu tak balik-balik ... tanam tembuni eh tepi jalan ... berjalan je lah dia ... hehe ..."
well maybe true maybe not ... whether that's the reason for my affinity towards the roads and discovering what lies beyond ...suami and "old age" and "cracking bones" have stabilised this life ... staying put is an option most of the time ... but given any opportunity ... i will be willing to board a train to anywhere ... suami je yang tak ndak ni :)
so what's this lamunan all about ...

ReplyDeletelol patut kuat berjalan ek..haha..
sometimes sy terfikir macam mana boleh ada perkaitan antara tempat tanam tembuni dengan bayi.. my experience with my first born, after balik dari hospital my mom spotted banyak red spots dekat badan my baby macam kena gigit semut.. check tempat tidur baby tak ada.. heran sebab red spot tu tak hilang2..then my grandma bagitau my hubs utk check tempat dia tanam tembuni my baby tu.. and bila dia check.. byk semut merah kerumun tembuni tu.. bila dibersihkan dan ditanam semula.. surprisingly all the red spots dkt badan my baby ilang...
oh well ilmu Allah tu luas.. mungkin juga ada explainantion behind everything that happened but cuma kita je yang takde ilmu..
