dear friends ...
obviously (obvious kan my second cikgu would query) the above is due to my love for words ...
i am still with Freire (Pedagogy of Hope) here ... this gentleman's writing kena baca ... letak balik ... baca something else ... ambil balik baca ... begitulah berulang kali ...
the reason is he writes from his heart pushed by his varied experiences while guided by his intellectual framework ...
lots and lots of metaphors ... he takes the words and the pain of the common population as a basis for his transformational thoughts ...
he takes his own pain ... emotional pain ... to explain how to delve into the "whys" of things ...
as in this following words :
" I dug up the archaeology of my pain" (p.30)

ReplyDeleteSatu benda pun Sham x faham sebenanrya..
Cuma ada ketika.. belajar dr "pain" & seterusnya diadaptasikan ke situasi persekitaran, itu lebih melekak di hati dan minda.
p/s;
Only applied to those yg belajar dr pengalaman.. yg x reti nak SERIK tu.. nak buek camano lak kan..
Waalaikumussalam wbt dear Sham ...
ReplyDeletecerita nye begini Freire (sounds like Fray ray) ... masa mudanya selalu dilanda depression ... bila dia begini he was like lost in his own thoughts ... tak menentu, feeling dark and depressed ... beliau sendiri pun tak tau kenapa ... then he began to note the days when his depression started, the locations, the conditions, the environment, the things, the people etc. etc., in order to pin down the root of his depression. He noted down everything, he bandingkan (compared) dan bezakan (contrasted) setiap keadaan and traced the root of his depression ... dipendekkan cerita ... he finally discovered that his depression was linked to rain ... not just any rain but that particular rain that brought in slush and dark mud which was linked to a similar day when his father died ... when he was a teenager ...
so ... once he has dug up the archeology of his pain ... he was able to manage his depression ...
... i like that ... digging up the archeology of our pain ... our anger ... our disgust ... our disappointment, etc. etc., ... and managing it for our own peace of mind ...
with love dear Sham ...:)
