jumpe kenalan baru hari ni ...
as we were sitting there having midmorning lunch ... i listened
and listened ... and listened
it is very hard actually to just listen ...
it is in our nature to want to listen to our own sweet voice ...
to how good we are about things ...
so to listen is a skill that need to be acquired ...
it is tough ... it needs practice ... plenty of practice
consciously pressing the lips together while letting the other speaks ...
so i pressed my lips together ... with a word here and there ... nothing intrusive ... just to clarify ...
and i learned ...
about her achievements to date ... her numerous phases of pains before ... her aspirations for her future ...

no ... i was not doing any research about her ...
and by the time we were done ... it was about 3 plus hours later ...
~
and among her favourite phrases was ...
jangan nak bangau kan orang ...
this is to be understood in context with the "bangau oh bangau" song of passing the blame ...

... pernah kena suruh berdiri atas kerusi di Form 2 oleh Guru Sains kerana tak habis-habis berborak ...
... toleh kiri ... toleh kanan ... toleh belakang ... but since cikgu tu panggil manja je dengan kite ... tak kisah jugalah kena berdiri tu ... teruknye he he ... masa tu all girls school ... so memanglah teruk ... :)
... mesti cube lah kopi tarik ac ni ... kaktek suke sangat ni ... :)

ReplyDeletehe he ... when she first uttered it i agak-agak je what she meant ... but when she used it repeatedly then with a laugh (gelak orang sengal tak pandai macam tu lah) i asked her the same question ... to confirm ... and she explained ... macam dalam lagu bangau oh bangau tu lah ... somebody keeps on blaming somebody else for his or her misfortune or problem ... :) always blaming someone ...
... di tempat kerja banyak lah ni kan ... dalam rumah pun ... kenapa tak kemas bilik tidur? oh adik lah tu ... macam tu ...
... so say ... jangan bangau kan orang ... instead of ... don't try to blame others ... :)
ic.. yaa kat office memang banyak macam tu... what i have learnt..untuk menyelamatkan diri dari dijadikan kambing hitam atau dibangaukan.. whatever we do, we must documented so that we have proves.. itu part office lah..
Deletekalau kat rumah, scene macam tu memang selalu jadi.. selalu keluar ayat-ayat abang tu..adik tu..last2 semua kena..hehehe.. semua kena kemas tempat tidur sama-sama..semua kena cuci toilet sama-sama..semua kena basuh kasut sama-sama.. mommy guna kuasa veto..heheheh
Blu ... yes documentation ... that is the professional way ... in fact the islamic way ... remember kalau berhutang pun kita mesti put down in writing ... even among friends or siblings ... which we seldom or never do ... we need to make it our SOP or budaya documenting such things i believe.
