hmmm ... guess who is in my mind as i watched this conductor ...

i have always been fascinated by how conductors put everybody to work together to create a piece of harmony ... and joy ...

... any nation, any organisation, any household, any flight :) ... who has a conductor for a leader is blessed ... 

it is not about the music ... it is about the oneness, the joy and harmony ...

... it is as if a single person is producing the sounds emanating from the various instruments ...

8.30am to 3.00pm ... in between ... 40 minutes break 

nak cerita about concept tepu ye ...

at about 2.00pm tetiba kawan ni cakap ...

hey ni dah hujan round kedua ... 

to us it sounded as if she was just stating a fact ...

i noticed the rain but didn't notice how many rounds the rain has been here this morning ...

then ...

our Guru said ... ha dah tepu lah tu ...

only then we realized that if we are starting to notice our surrounding that indicates we are no longer absorbed in the discussion at hand ...

kita dah melilau-lilau lah tu ...

saturation has set in ... 

he he ... so take five ...

but the truth is ... we are going to miss these kuliah a lot ... it has been an amazing semester ... quantitative and qualitative ... ly

Tacit knowledge ... and epistemology

... heavy thought since yesterday ...

tacit knowledge ... ilmu dan kefahaman yang diperolehi melalui real experience ... yang terpendam di dalam dada dan kefahaman yang empunye diri ... we can also refer to it as implicit knowledge

contoh mudah ... emak masak sedap je ... tak ada explicit menu ... sodapppp yang amat juge ... she has tacit knowledge about how to make a particular dish special and different ... till the time she expressed this knowledge in verbal or written form ... this knowledge remains a tacit knowledge ...

tacit knowledge is lost with the passing of the knowledge holder ...

contoh mudah lagi ... traditionally orang kite mengambil kebaikan dari indigenous plants as part of our health management ... but most of the practitioners have not made explicit their knowledge and understanding of plants ... so knowledge itu pun hilang bersama kepergian pengamal perubatan tradisi tersebut ...

Contoh lain lagi ... macam MP sayang cerite pasal line checked ... MP ada tacit knowledge about line checked ... kawan-kawan kek maya ni melopong yo lah apo ko bondo eh line checked tu ... but once MP explained to us ... then MP's TACIT knowledge becomes OUR EXPLICIT knowledge.


this is an epistemological interest ... to people who have nothing better to do except menghabiskan masa poi mengocar ... oghang yang sibuk dengan perkara berkaitan dengan epistemology ni ... akan sibuk bertanye ... ni ha ... (tok sah baco ... buek poning yo ...:) tapi kalau ade pekdah eh silekan lah ... :)

Apo lak tu oghang lain sumo panggil airlines ...dio yo airways ... but i remembered the only time on this plane ... heathrow was having a very very bad weather ... and rough landing was expected ... BUT AlhamduLILLAH the pilot omputih tu was very very prihatin and calming us all the way to landing explaining everything while manouvering the landing AlhamduLILLAH AlhamduLILLAH smoothly... applause and cheer from all on board ... may ALLAH SWT give him hidayah ...

Pakistan Paindabad ... ape makne tak ingat pun ... tetapi selalu terbace di perutusan duta Pakistan ke Malaysia dalam paper bila sambut hari kebangsaannye ...
yang ingat sangat naik kapatebang ni - arrival kat manchester ... ber queue panjang ... oghang airport suh letak luggage sebelah kite ... peh tu anjing airport bagi kiss kiss kiss beg kite ...alaaahai ... cari tempoyak gek ee ... woi kito pulak telupo bawak ... sorry ... :)

*Compassion ni tak dapat nak diungkapkan dalam BM ... rahmah ... belas kasihan ... simpati ... empati ...

** Giving pula maknanya ketua mesti berupaya untuk memberi ... accepting the position of leadership bermakna we accept the amanah untuk memberi ... memberi ape ... yang menghasilkan kebaikan kepade yang empunye diri dan orang lain ...

leadership is a generic term here ... in private, public, academic ... as leader in the family ... and leader of individual selves ...

Maksudnya ... harapan adalah keperluan kehidupan. Hopelessness (nak kena tanye lagi DBP ni ... :) Kehilangan harapan ialah harapan yang telah tergelincir dari landasannya ... atau harapan yang telah kehilangan fokus ...

... maka dalam ertikata lain ... harapan ialah punca perubahan ... perubahan mesti ada sasarannya ... apabila dikatakan kehilangan harapan ... bukan maknanya putus harapan ... tetapi harapan yang sudah kehilangan atau tidak nampak sasaran asalnya ... jadi kena tebas semak yang menutup sasaran tu lah ye ... sure harapan berkembang semula ... :)
