berbeza adil dan samarata tu

... I am reminded of a talk in which the speaker gave an apt example to differentiate "adil" and "samarata"

 

contohnya ... seorang suami beristeri dua ... yang seorang kecil molek ... yang seorang besar tinggi  ... bila beli kain untuk buat pakaian tentu lah yang besar perlu kain lebih ... so yang kecik mungkin 3 ela cukup (belum metrik masa tu :), yang besar mungkin lebih pula ... begitulah ... tak samarata kan? tetapi itulah adil ...

i am much into minority education ... jika "merit" lebih penting dari "adil" ... semakin ramailah anak-anak luar dan pinggir bandar serta masyarakat peribumi Orang Asli dan lain-lain yang cicir dalam arus tamaddun baru ini ...

dalam bilik darjah ... yang pandai dan sudah independent kita boleh kurangkan contact time with them ... kita lebihkah pula masa dan perhatian pada yang kurang cekap ... pastinya tidak "samarata" contact time kita dengan murid ... tetapi "adil" kan.

I was reading about the life of a young man Almarhum Ahmad Ammar ... who in death at 20 has started teaching us that it is not about age ... rather it is about strength of iman and character ... and vision for self and the ummah ...

in life he acquired ... and in death he gave ... May Allah SWT be pleased with him and station him among the pious and the shaheed. ameen Allahumma ameen.

hari ni ... apabila saya melihat keadaan yang sama saya tegur mereka sebelum mula solat betulkan hala sajadah ikut arrow yang tertera di ceiling surau yang di tampal oleh majlis agama negeri tu ... mereka tengok ke atas tetapi tak pula membetulkan sajadah mereka ... rather mereka ikut je arah sajadah orang yang terkehadapan yang memang sedia tidak tepat ... menahan sebak saya solat dan keluar dari surau ...

yang paling paling menghairankan kalau melihat mereka meletakan sajadah ... persepsinya se olah olah kiblat tu di corner surau tu because ... ada yang adjust senget ke kiri ... ada pula yang adjust senget ke kanan kepada yang berada di tengah tengah ...

boleh saja kata nampak sangat lawaknya ... tetapi apakah yang lawak apabila sendiri merasa yang kita mentertawakan diri sendiri yang tidak ada kesatuan ...

itu yang membuat saya hiba ... ni baru surau kecik ... i can't even do anything about it ...

what more di luar sana bila mana bayangan serupa berlaku dalam masyarakat ...

yes walaupun selalu ditegur that i am not the mayor of the city ...

still i am truly truly sad ... yet i will not let it be ...

a week or so ago ... i met someone who was out of my experience ... she was insisting on something and in the process i "kena" left and right ... butting into the tirade was not an option as she bombarded me with her collections of english cliche and idioms ... i kept my blood iced ... menikus je ... because i have learned to listen and one must listen well in order to mitigate the banjir of words both pleasant and unpleasant ... mostly in English ...

when she was done ... perlahan perlahan saya cakap ... what do you do actually ... 

and she jawab maaaacam puan yang sorang tu sini ... "i tak kerja ... menghabiskan duit laki je" ... haha

okay despite the earlier harshness ... she had good sense of humour ... 

you're a very lucky girl ... i responded ...

and feeling warmer i took a guess ... you must be a lawyer ...

ha ... do i look like one ... she was surprised ...

well you talked like one ... i said (based upon my experience with loyar buruk lah not real loyar hehe ...)

she said no i tak kerja ...

then you must be running your own business ... i pressed on ...

so ... cakap cakap cakap lagi ... finally ... dah habis conversation ... sambil saying goodbyes saya tanya lagi ... so what do you do actually ...

i am an undertaker ... mengurus jenazah ... she finally surprised me ...

ha ... that's very unique ... kenapa susah sangat nak cakap dari tadi ... i can inform others kalau ada keperluan ... mana you belajar ... i asked ...

 majlis agama Islam negeri ... she jawab ...

saying goodbye for real now ... i said bagi nombor and nama untuk contact kalau perlu ...

my name is very very unique itu sebab susah nak cakap ni ...

how unique can it be ... macam angelina jolie ke ... i said because she looked like an arab pun ada and punjabi pun ada with attire macam orang putih  ...

now real goodbye ... macam kuih manis sedap sangat kuih kelepong tu bila dah masak dia timbul ...

so finally our undertaker has a name and nombor ... nama memang sungguh lain dari yang lain ...

sebab kalau di kampung, atau kalau berkariah orang kita sama sama menguruskan jenazah ... it is not a business it is fardu kifayah or so my ignorant mind bersoal jawab ... minda saya ni suka bersoal jawab ... banyak soal my adik said hehe ...

Padi, beras dan nasi ...

masa berlalu pantas ye ... sabtu malam dah ikat janji dengan suami ... esok balik kampong kejap ye hantar belanja raya mak dan abah ... this is our monthly routine sebenarnya ...

so sunday morning kami pun bertolaklah ... jalan seremban kuala pilah ni sudah semakin baik ... maka perjalanan pada hari yang tak sibuk lancar je ...

senawang-kuala pilah -LEKAS junction masih rancak pembinaan nya ...

jalan bukit putus pun laju je ... 

sekaranglah ... malam raya nanti jangan ceritalah ... that's the reason kami selalu cari odd hours untuk balik ziarah emak dan abah ... to avoid bad traffics ...

susu manis cap teko ...saya ambil 6 tin besar ... suami kata ambil odd no ... sunnah katanya ... so tambah satu lagi ... emak selalu cakap rumah ni macam kedai teh ... kawan kawan abah rajin ziarah abah and teh susu is a must ... and emak punya teh is the best ... bila saya kadang-kadang tolong buat untuk abah saya kena minta maaf dulu sebelum abah minum ... sure tak sedap macam emak buat ...

tambah ayam ikan udang, bawang, cili kering, minyak makan ... cukup ... 

dulu selalu belikan minyak makan 5 liter sebab emak rajin tolong buat kuih bila orang tempah ... lately kami kata emak tak payahlah lagi ... biarlah mereka buat sendiri ... so she has stopped ... now 2 litre pun sebulan tak habis ...

sampai rumah tengok kereta adik perempuan dari hulu langat ... kat laman ... pun baru sampai rupanya dengan anak perempuannya ... day trip also ...

bagi salam emak abah ... abah bukan main sukanya ...

adik beradik bertunda tunda je sampai ye ... katanya ...

adik ipar dan anaknya sudah pun sampai sejak semalam ... Alhamdulillah anak anak emak dan abah ni bergilir gilir minggu ziarah ... 

sambil peluk cium abah who is on wheelchair ... seperti biasa saya melawak ... hantar beras abah ha ...

tengoklah kak'mbong ko ni ... ni lah anak abah sorang yang kalau balik bawa beras hahaha ... abah gelak besar ... takut sangatlah kak'mbong ko kalau abah tak ada beras nak makan ... abah sambung lawaknya ...

tak perlu pun ... saja suka tengok abah gelak bila bawa beras tu ... so very traditional hehe ...

 kalau kita tak ada masalah lah ye ... 

beza padi, beras dan nasi ... tetapi bagi suami yang "sangat" fasih bahasa melayu satu ceritalah pula ...

kat kampung tu ada kedai runcit ... satu hari emak minta suami tolong beli sekampit beras kat situ ... pergilah suami yang taat ni ... sampai kedai dengan confident nya dia minta kat kakak kedai ... 

nak beli NASI satu bag ...

ha ... kakak tercengang ... nasi tak ado jual do ... bogheh ado lah ... hahaha ...
